About Mystic Chess
Mystic Chess is an independent game designed and built by a solo developer. It started from a simple question: what if chess kept every rule you know, but each player also brought a few secrets to the board?
The answer is a chess variant with 29 power pieces. Each one keeps the silhouette and movement of a standard chess piece and adds either a once-per-game active power or an always-on passive ability. Skill still decides most games; the powers add the surprise.
Mystic Chess runs in any modern web browser. You can try it free as a guest against the computer or on a shared board, or create an account to keep a permanent army of 16 pieces in your Vault and play friends online.
